Tomoya Shiraishi

Born and raised in Ibaraki, Japan.

After graduating from university, I spent five years working at a PR firm, primarily managing public relations for international pharmaceutical companies.

In 2020, I embarked on a working holiday in Canada. However, my arrival coincided with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, which brought profound changes to the world. Immersed in a completely new language, environment, and social dynamics, I took this opportunity to deeply reflect on myself and listen to my inner voice.

During this transformative period, I developed a growing interest in meditation and spirituality. I volunteered at a local food bank and worked as an organic sprout grower, deepening my appreciation for food, sustainability, and nature.

After returning to Japan, I became involved in farming and landscaping, spending my days reconnecting with the natural world. Inspired by my time in Canada, I began a unique form of expression: “massaging” buildings and trees. Over time, this practice evolved to include working with people, blending creativity with healing.

In 2022, I started studying under Rie Kuwahara at rietreat and obtained certification in Long Stroke Meditation® LEVEL 1 in 2023.

To further deepen my practice, I traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where I trained in Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage) and traditional Thai massage. Drawing on these diverse techniques, I now offer a unique menu of treatments that combine the essence of each practice, creating a deeply personalized and holistic experience for every client.

Long Stroke Meditation®️

Long Stroke Meditation®︎ is a full-body oil treatment that combines meditative and deeply relaxing long strokes.

With the gentle flow of oil, your skin is connected through continuous, soothing touch—from head to toe and palm to palm. This touch brings profound relaxation, leaving you with a sense of being truly unique and cherished.

This treatment is more than physical care; it is a journey within yourself. Guided by my hands, your consciousness will explore beyond the surface, tracing not only your body but also your senses, memories, and essence of being.

Abdominal massage

Based on the Concept of Chi Nei Tsang

Rooted in Chi Nei Tsang, a form of qigong therapy that has been passed down through Taoist traditions in China for over 2,500 years, this Thai-style treatment focuses on harmonizing the mind and body by addressing the internal organs, where emotions are believed to reside. Using gentle and mindful touch, oil is applied to the abdomen to create a soothing and nurturing experience.

This treatment is deeply relaxing. With a slow tempo and deliberate, deep pressure on areas of the abdomen that are rarely touched, we aim to release tension and alleviate stagnation. By pressing and loosening, the treatment promotes the flow of energy and fosters a sense of inner balance and well-being.

Thai massage

Incorporating the Essence of Traditional Thai Massage

This treatment focuses on the entire body, combining deep and gentle pressure to create a soothing and restorative experience.

Rather than large movements or stretches, the massage features slow, intentional pressure that envelops the whole body, promoting relaxation and harmony.

With each touch, we honor the body as a sacred vessel, connecting deeply to the emotions and energies it holds.

This treatment is ideal for individuals with injuries that limit their ability to stretch, as well as for those seeking a softer, more mindful approach to bodywork.

The therapist Tomoya truly showcases the power of introverts. He resonates with every pore of your body and every strand of your hair. There were many highlights, but one stood out: when he carefully laid his fingers on my forehead with the slightest touch, and my muscles responded by pressing upwards against his hand. It was as if I were massaging myself from within!

He himself is a gem, beaming with wisdom, just like the salon. The location is quaint and green, close to where natural spring water slowly flows. I will surely revisit.
